Weekly Photo Challenge: Geometry

My brother-in-law builds houses.  He built the house he and his wife live in.  He designed an awesome spiral staircase that ascends to the roof of the house, where they have a garden and a good view of the neighborhood.  At my brother-in-law’s 40th birthday party, I was hit by the introvert’s urge to get away from all the people and noise.  I sat underneath the staircase and took this picture:

If that’s not some sweet geometry, I don’t know what is.
